Real-time staffing, gap management, and the overtime marketplace.

The Action Center is your Daily Command Center. Once the production day begins, this is where you monitor the pulse of the facility. It allows you to respond instantly to call-outs, production spikes, or unexpected absences to ensure the facility remains 100% staffed.

Understanding the Visual Grid

The interface is a "Live View" grid where Rows represent Positions (Job + Location) and Columns represent Time.

The Color Code Legend:

Color

Meaning

Description

Blue

Straight Time

Employee is working their standard scheduled shift.

Red

The Hole

Critical Priority. A required position is currently unstaffed.

Green

Assigned OT

A gap was manually filled by an admin/supervisor.

Yellow

OT Opportunity

A gap is "posted" to the marketplace for employee volunteers.

Purple

Shift Swap

Two employees have traded times or positions.

Step-by-Step: Filling a "Red Hole"

When an employee calls in sick or production demands increase, a red hole will appear. Use Manual Assignment for immediate needs.

  1. Locate the Gap: Find the red block on the grid representing the missing staff member.

  2. Open Assignment: Click directly on the Red Hole.

  3. Search & Filter: Type the name of the available employee.

    • Note: The system automatically filters for Skills. Only qualified employees will appear.

  4. Confirm: Click Save. The block turns Green, and the employee is notified.

Step-by-Step: The Overtime Marketplace

Use the Yellow Opportunity when you have time to let volunteers step forward.

  1. Select the Hole: Click the red block you want to fill.

  2. Post Opportunity: Select "Create Overtime Opportunity" instead of a specific name.

  3. Set Timeframe: Define how long the post stays active.

  4. Broadcast: Click Post. The block turns Yellow. Employees receive a push notification on their mobile app to "bid" on the shift.

Managing Time-Off Requests

The Action Center doubles as your approval desk.

  • Review Requests: Click the Requests Tab to see digital submissions for sick leave or vacation.

  • Manual Entry: If an employee calls you directly:

    1. Click "Create Time Off."

    2. Search for the employee (e.g., "Frank Pereira").

    3. Enter dates and select the reason (Vacation/Sick).

    4. Click Approve.

  • System Impact: Blue Roster will immediately remove them from the schedule and generate a Red Hole so you know to find a replacement.

Efficiency Pro-Tips

  • Zoom Control: Use the toggle (Top Left) to switch between a high-level "Weekly View" and a detailed "Minute-by-Minute" view.

  • The Notification Bell: Keep an eye on the bell icon (Top Right). It will alert you the moment an employee claims a "Yellow" marketplace shift.

  • No-Click Info: Hover your cursor over any colored block to see the employee's name and shift details instantly.
